Women's Ministry: United Church Women

Purpose

To unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church to provide a medium through which they may express our loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness to study fellowship and service.

Afternoon Unit Leader - Doris Montgomery - This unit meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 1:30pm

Evening Unit Leader - Barb Sutherland - This Unit meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm

Lambeth UCW is very active with over 30 members who share their gifts supporting the church, their community and each other. All are welcome.

Knitting Group 

Meet 3rd Saturday of every month from 9:30 - 11:30am - They knit prayer shawls or bring your own project. Beginners welcome.

A Brief history

Women within the United Church have been forming UCW groups since the organization was formally inaugurated on January 1st, 1962.

Membership

Any woman who is willing to contribute to the work of the church may participate in United Church Women. A Life Membership pin and certificate are available to any member of the UCW whom a UCW group may wish to honour.
